OSURA Dinner Series

March 23 @ 5:15 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for dinner followed by a lecture from Professor John Horack on Ohio State’s role as leading academic partner in Starlab’s part of the Commercial Destination Free Flyers.

Professor Horack will talk about Ohio State’s relationship with Voyager Space and the university’s position as the leading academic institution partner in the areas of engineering, agriculture, biological/physical sciences and human health. The Starlab-GWCS analog facility will be at Ohio State’s Aerospace Campus at Don Scott Airport and will be the central location for experiment development, testing, procedure evaluation, astronaut training, payload communications between ground and space, and serving students, faculty, and staff across all colleges, departments, and centers.  This work places Ohio State and the State of Ohio at the strategic forefront of commercial and research activities in low-Earth orbit for decades to come, generating positive social, economic, educational, and quality-of-life outcomes for all people everywhere through space-related research and development.
