Richard Steckel - A Dreadful Childhood: The Long Shadow of American Slavery An informative view of the extreme childhood derivation that young slaves endured, including high mortality rates, short stature, low protein and low energy diets that had significant negative implications for cognitive development. We're partnering with Athletics, Student Life and the Alumni Association to give back on World Kindness Day. Alumni, students, student athletes, employees, fans and families will join with The Pack Shack in a crazy-fun, high-energy, high impact feed-the-funnel party. Our goal is to have 600 volunteers pack 210,000 meals in just two hours! The meals represent two meals for every person in attendance at the game.
